I think it’s just a deer mouse or similar mouse from that genus. At first I agreed with you that it might be a rat but using the songbird as a scale item it doesn’t make the rodent look so big anymore.

I can’t positively ID that flycatcher as there are just too many similar species, but they are all in that mouse-sized range.

Yeah, was probably just a big mouse-the tail was confusing me with the blur.
I do believe that is a phoebe on the fence. They nest on my porch every year, always around.

I set some game cameras a few weeks ago and checked them this past Sunday. A couple hours before I was there, a bobcat came through! I got a couple nice bucks, along with a spike that lost a horn. The turkeys are coming through, too, the middle of February we had a nice snow that fell on the turkeys backs as they went to roost.

Here are some pics I got last year of some mamas with their babies. Also one that kinda shows how bad the flies were last year (check out mamas ears.) Didn't see any EHD locally, even though it was really dry.
