Dilemna vs Dilemma

I am not the worlds best speller, but, I have always spelled it as dilemna.

Now tell me why there is a z in RENDEZVOUS?

Besides, in a language that allows us, and puts it in the dictionary, that "ya'll" is a word.... I don't really care much for American Grammar anymore!

That is just wrong. Don't they know that it's Y'all?

don't spend too much time worrying about it. I was always one of the smartest kids, if not the smartest kid in class and until recently, I thought that's how it was spelled as well. there are TONS of theories on how it may have started and worse, perpetuated, but no one seems to really know. I never questioned it because as far as languages go, English is a complete train wreck. "dilemma" just looks weird to me. I somewhat figured it was the opposite of the what the truth actually is. People (LOTS of people) say 7 year locusts, when they are actually cicadas and not even related to locusts other than being an insect. that's just what people call them. Someone taught you to spell it with an n and you went with it. don't lose any sleep over it...

rendez-vous is French. vous is the 2nd person plural of you, or a respectful way to address a stranger. rendez is the conjugated verb "render" I think but in this case instead of meaning to render, it means to meet.
