we raised the two hens from chicks last spring. Hoping they will all get along once the chicks are grown.
Our specked Sussex is a sweetheart, but the game hen is pretty aggressive and takes on the role of a rooster. Yesterday she grabbed a white-wing dove by the flight feathers

and chased off a rock squirrel

She even tries to crow!

It's FIESTA TIME

Every year around this time in San Antonio, is FIESTA, a week long celebration. Many, many, many different things to do and places to be....the River Parade, NIOSA (Night In Old San Antonio), Oyster Bake, Parade of Flowers, Fiesta Flaymbo! and many more parades and festivities.
Here's a few pics of today's start of Fiesta, it's called FIESTA FIESTA. metal vendors are all over peddling their medals, you see people loaded down with metals , it's a Fiesta tradition.
