DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA

I have a 7 month old Buckeye Rooster who I would like to rehome and swap for a young hen, preferably under 1 year old.

The rooster is a good mating rooster and good at keeping his hens safe. He will let the hens eat before him. The rooster is docile and can be held.

The reason we are rehoming the rooster is because we have 2 Buff Orpington roosters we are raising up to be the new mating roosters of the flock as well as raising up some of the rooster's children to join the flock. We want to avoid any inbreeding.

The rooster does have a limp for unknown reasons, no bumblefoot or mites. His limp does not hinder him from mating, running, fighting, or walking. Other than the limp, he is a perfectly normal rooster.

The rooster has not attacked anyone to this day and he was raised with another rooster with whom he got along with. This rooster will be a great addition to a backyard flock.
