Their run is covered in tarp and there are trees all around, as well as them having a very shaded coop, should that help?

This is my first summer here, I came from all the way up in Indiana. I moved here in June!
Okay, how often would be too often to give them electrolytes, can it be harmful to them if they get too much?

Given a balance diet, no electrolytes needed. They were invented for people on the American diet.

Indiana is nice. I remember the snows.

Chickens came from a rain forest. They like the heat more than the cold but will survive both given food and shelter. They'll be fine. You're gonna suffer though.

I use electrolytes a couple of times a week. No more than 3x. I sometimes mix it up and keep it in the fridge overnight, then mix it with their feed. If any is left (rarely) I toss it within a couple of hours, so it doesn't sour.

When it is gangster hot, I'll give them a couple times a week or make a wet mash with it (they think mash is the best thing since sliced bread ) I hope you enjoy it here in Texas, so much to see and do!
