Texas - Page 460

Almost moving day!  Yay!  Will be moving to Glen Rose very soon.  If anyone is in that area send me a message!  I would love to get to know my new neighbors.

This is the link to my swap page.  Nothing on it yet, but will see what I can gather up.  Just thought I would share some photo albums of my chicks as they are growing up.  Spotted Butt is currently my only egg layer but she lays faithfully. Elizabeth is a really pretty white easter egger.  And Fatty, is well just a fatty.  I've been told Black Australorp, or Black Giant.  Either way he is big...

Hello...any BYC'ers from West Texas? I live in the Midland/Odessa area, and my chicks will arrive sometime this week. I visited the post office to let them know and was told, "Lady, we do chickens here all the time!". So I figured some of these chicken recipients had to be on this forum.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone while raising some backyard chickens :)

There is a lady coming from Odessa to pick up a double yellow-headed parrot.  She is like 800 miles from me LOL.  Was trying to get her to take some silkies back with her LOL.

Hey I have 2 roos that need new homes, they are 7 weeks old.  One is a White Plymouth Rock and one is a Speckled Sussex.  These are hatchery birds.  I bought them as "pullets" but they are not and I already have 5 Roos.  They are free to any BYC member.  The Sussex would make a good pet (rather cuddly), the Plymouth rock would make a good dinner (he is a little aggressive).  I live in South Austin and am willing to meet in Austin.

Love those Orps!

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

Hey all, I live in the East Texas area around Longview! was wondering if anyone close to me had any silkie, cochins, showgirls, or polish hens for sale?? At the moment I have a younger black Cochin roo who needs a new home. I might also have a silkie roo and a frizzle roo if the lady backs out on me.  I will also be interested in hatching eggs of any of the breeds listed above! PM me if you are interested in the roos, or have a breed I am looking for Thanks!
