I see one with a spot so that one is a barred rock.  I don't see a SLW..... (I am bringing some chicks to Murfreesboro if you still want a SLW)  How many Marans did you put under her?  Marans can hatch with clean legs.  You may also have some solid blue rocks or black rocks too.  If I gave you eggs marked BLUE those could be solid blue or black rocks.

I'm pretty sure I only hatched 2 Marans, 2 BR and 2 Ameraucana eggs. I'm guessing that none of the SLW eggs hatched but all of the others did. I had two die in the egg and never hatch...both SLW. Bummer. I'll take a couple SLW chicks from you. Hopefully I can get one SLW pullet out of the bunch.

Question: I'm thinking of separating the chicks into a brooder and returning the hen to the flock. This a good idea or wait 5 weeks?

I will bring what ever hatching eggs I have that morning. B/BLCM, GCM, Blue/Splash, Ex. Leghorns. I'm not sure how many pullets, but will have 2 Black Marans hens (lite layers), and a couple of mossy BCM hens. May have some mossy BCM pullet chicks (Why I am letting go of the hens) They sure lay dark when they are mossy but their babies are mossy too! I will be bringing all I can so I can cut my feed bill!!

I'm bringing a ton of young EE and AM cockerels.  I'm hoping someone will want dinner!  I need to get them out of my pens!

Other than that I have some blue and splash AMs and black EEs is anyone wants any.  I also have some production reds.  I'll not bring any/many unless someone wants some especially.

Lori- I'm planning on bringing your black and probably the oreo boy to see if anyone wants him.

I can bring eggs too if anyone wants any.  I have blue/splash AMs, EEs and olive eggers.

What time is everyone getting there?  I have some tarps if we can figure out a way to string them up for shade.

I'm going to try and be there around 8. I can't stay much past 10 because I have a wedding to attend at 11:30 in the Boro.

I have a tent if someone wants to help me put it up.  It is like the ones they use at flea markets.  If the wind is up it might blow down.  We tied it to the big metal stock pens last time.  I will put the ad up tonight.

Hey y’all – does anyone know of a reliable farm-sitter south of Nashville?  I’m east of Columbia, and need someone to watch the girls (chickens), our three horses, and our gardens when we go on vacation.  (We used to have a couple out of Franklin that we paid, but they no longer come this far south.)  I’m not averse to a teenager/high school student (as long as they are dependable), but they DO need to know enough about horses to recognize an emergency (like colic).  We’re a couple months away from vacation, but I want to make sure I have someone lined up.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross roads without having their motives called into question.  -Unknown

I am bringing a MEAT Chicken to the sale Saturday FREE to anyone that wants her.  One of my chicken people didn't want to process her and her siblings have all died of heart failure.  She is not very big... may need to grow some... IDK never had meat birds. She is NOT coming back with me!

Oh BTW my chicken people are looking for Lemon Cuckoo Orp Roosters and NN pullets.... anybody?

Does anyone know someone who will kill and/or butcher chickens? I know I'll have to cross this bridge someday, and I really want to have a contact or two in place. Thanks!

Anne, How much for the black silkie? I don't know when and if I will be there. Alex has the science thing at the Shelbyville school. I know I am not far away but it will take at least 30 min. How long is everyone planning on staying?
