No..... hum maybe a little over a year or right at a year.  Actually he is under a year now that I think about it..... I only got chickens in April of last year and it was several months before I got him and he was still very young.

well he is beautiful but I think we will stick with getting younger birds and raising them...we will talk more later to figure out exactly when and where we will meet but we would love to get a few of you barred rock chicks..maybe in the next few weeks.

When did you order them?  I go there all the time, but I didn't know they'd order chicks for you!

If you are okay with hatchery quality you can order just pullets from MyPetChicken.  That's where my original two came from and they have been awesome.  They aren't as pretty as my breeder line, but they are a LOT smarter and have fabulous personalities.

Those look fantastic! Is the top hinged? Would made a great coop for breeders or grow outs or brooders. Crap! I need to get my trailer out and get some but Saturday is my earliest I may have to wait till he has them again, I have the G'kids this weekend.

They do look great.... if you get them can I get a couple?  I don't really need 8 or more.  He has them all the time.... I will post it the next time I see them.  He has them at least every other week.
