Are you NPIP?  I really need to get a few more laying hens.  I've got many more egg customers than I can accommodate.  I have some that are still a couple months from laying.  People love those cartons of blue, green, brown and white eggs.

Carol I am sorry I am not. I plan to do that early next spring when I don't have 200 birds like I do right now big_smile.png

What did I do today?  Our church's fall festival is tonight, and I'm in charge of the "Country Store."  Been getting stuff ready for that yesterday and today.  I've canned about 19 jars of basil jelly - which is really good mixed with mustard or barbecue sauce and used to glaze chicken or pork or salmon.  Then I baked 8 loaves of Italian herb bread - which is delicious toasted with a poached egg on top (my breakfast this morning).  I also baked 18 small pear tarts and 4 peach tarts - using fruit from our trees.  As a result of the above cooking/baking, I've run about 4 loads in the dishwasher since yesterday.  I'm tired!  My husband just called and told me he picked 13 gallons of muscadines at his mother's house in Georgia.  So that'll keep me busy next week.  I'm trying to figure out what to do with muscadines besides make muscadine jam.

Do any of you have some POL pullets that you'd sell me?  I'd love to have some more EEs.  It has to be from someone who is NPIP, though, since I am, too. I think I'm going to have to drop two or three of my egg customers.  The chickens are slowing down - only got 8 eggs yesterday.  I guess they know fall is getting close.
