First, watching a runner duck run is awesome. They can find their own food. They aren't like pekins in water. Mine haven't started laying but I heard their decent.

Its not as fat and slow as a pekin, but its not frail either. I want a mallard but I don't want a flying bird. The rouen is great for that.

They are my calmest birds and are easiest to catch. They eat less than Pekins. I heard they also lay well, but mine are younger.

I was thinking the same thing.... Yes I am new to geese.... but not new to birds. I have raised alot of cage birds including canaries. Canaries come in different varieties... crested and frilled. Which reminds me... I wonder if there is a tufted sebbie out there somewhere... lol

My sebbie goslings will be here no later than Wed... pictures will be forth coming :)

There is one goose (i believe it was a goose not a gander) pictured on the Sebastopol forum with a puff or dainty curls on her head. Discussion was done on how to breed for it, but the owner searched back through family lines to discover its a fluke on that bird and it may or may not ever show again. Very interesting look for sure.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

Marty, your babies were looking out the vent holes through the filters talking to Daze's babies in the next box. The 7 of them were never in the same yard because of age difference, but could stand at the fence and chat. It was like they were complaining to each other.
