Sooooo sorry everyone. We decided not to camp due to a schedule change with Megan....then I got an emergency call with work this am. Thought I would still make it, but it took longer than expected. My phone was in the van, but I was in a bad signal area anyway. he.gif

It was really busy at the park...if I had not seen AJ's dad, Jack, I would have missed them. I was turned about 7 different ways! Sure hate we missed you.

Hey Ladyride, I sent you a PM with my cell. I am not always where I'm supposed to be, but maybe I can get you in touch with someone who knows what's going on. Sorry we missed you.

Bairo, I'm just glad you guys are OK. We were a little worried.

Here's a couple of pictures...

I am so glad it wasn't too hot there. I almost melted trying to unload everything back here at the house.

On a positive note though. I did finally get the initial small order of chicken nipples from the supplier and had a chance to test them. I mounted three of them in a five gallon bucket with 3 gallons of water in it and marked the level over night...no leaks at all. The hens started to use them the next day. Looks like a winner. With shipping to me...they will run about 2.00 per nipple. I'll put in a bulk order just as soon as I know if anyone wants to try them. I have maybe 10 extra now, but will order 100 and will get them in 3 weeks.

Terry...I made it by morristown milling and picked up some of that Hubbard feed. I'll see how they do on it. I'll finish up this current job on Wed. if your friend still wants me to come by and get the Mini to take to my father in law maybe thursday or friday? I know she had surgery recently but I just cant squeeze enough hours out of the day to make it before then, lol

We had a good time at the picnic. It was nice to meet some fellow poultry enthusiasts and actually talk about raising birds without funny looks.  Although, from what I was hearing I still have a lot of work cut out converting people to the duck side. Maybe a video of them eating japanese beetles...

Yes....Stang and I where the brave ones   highfive.gif hehe  For those who did not get to make it we where stalking a bear....a really big one. hu.gif

@AJ....I know I am taller than you..did you step up on your tippy toes??

Even though I arrived an hour late I had a great time. I think I may make a trial run to the next one if I don't know anything about it. At least I did not drive off leaving my purse and realize it half way home this time. Good food..wonderful friends and a beautiful day.

Actually I was slouching to make you look taller.

Speaking of the next one. Where? and When?

I am going to check on having a couple of signs made to help us find each other.

We seem to have an issue in that department,

Daph had a great ideal bringing a couple of chickens in the back of her truck, only problem was she parked at the front of the line.

Elizabeth slept just about all the way home, she had wore herself out. But we all had a really good time.
