This is my first incubator experience ever. Day 21 was yesterday, Saturday the 19th, and nothing has happened.  How long do a "sit" on my eggs?

I am pretty sure that my thermometer is one or two degrees colder than it says it is but it has been pretty consistant at 100 degrees

That means you may have a late hatch like 24, 25, and possibly 26 days. Take them out and candle them(in a humid bathroom of course). My last one pipped on day 25,hatched almost into day 26. Dont give up,Candle!

That gives me alot of hope.  I realy didn't want to pull the plug just yet.  I have had a struggle candleing them.  My eggs are pretty dark brown.

Yes i was told if you run abit low on temp that it wont hurt them - well within reason low LOL - it will jsut delay their development and will take a day or so later- trust me i am a first time hatcher too - nerves! Mine are only in a week - so i have a ways to go! Hang in there! wink

I am realy surprised how wrapped up I am in theese eggs!!  I can't stop checking them, I feel a little obsessed with them.  I was talking about them so much my husband had to say "Relax!  If a 10yr old 4H kid can do it so can a mom of three!  Here's hoping!!

I hatched about 100 eggs in the last spring, the first one hatched in the 26th day !!! let them and candle once a day and keep humidity a bit higher than the usual .

good luck ,,,
