I Want Quail Eggs To Hatch

i really would like to hatch some quail eggs but hubby says no because one we have alot of chickens 17 is not alot but we have 23 in incubator and for easter hatch iwill be setting 50 + pluse he says that we do not know how to care for them or what they need but little does he know if i can find some i will try to hatch them lol i just have to learn how to take care of them. those of you that have quail do yall use them for eggs or what not really sure about them but i will learn before trying to hatch some if anyone could help me learn about quail and how to hatch i woul really appreciate it.

Mother of 3 wonderful children twin girls and a son. We own 3 dogs and 23 chickens. We have an assortment of different breeds of chickens we have, RIR, BR, RSL, BSL, Aouthlorp, Americaunas, Easter Eggers, game hen, silver spangled hamburgs, silver laced (something not sure of bread has feathers on feet )  i hope i did not miss any.   We Have 2 coops that is 10ft by 8 ft and each has a run that...

Go over the the quail thread.  I just ordered MORE eggs this morning.  There are numerous posts over there about what people do with their quail.  The eat the eggs, eat the birds, have them for pets..... all different reasons.  You can tell him that quails are cheaper to raise vs. chickens for egg production  big_smile

I have been thinking about getting some quail too. I'd like to pickle the eggs and eat the birds too. I really need to get all my chickens squared away first though lol Got new fuzzy butts and need more coop space - THEN I'll build a quail cage. Probably.
