I just posted one of my roosters on craigslist.   I have 3.  He seems like he really wants to be top dog.  We have another one that has been dominant since they arrived in their box and I am concerned that they might take the competition too far.  Here is the add if you know anyone looking for a nice rooster.

That photoshop digital thing is a cool idea, if I did more professional work, I'd definitely do it.  At this point for me, I just watermark my pictures in such a way as to make it nearly impossible to photoshop it out. I don't do it to all, but to anything that I think could possibly be attractive to steal. For example, here's one of my blue laced red wyandottes that I hatched in Feb:

My legbars are coming along. Very slowly. My cockerel is all white, no crest. Female has a crest, and I think she's just a doll. I don't think she's anywhere near laying though. I think she's 4 months old. She still seems quite small compared to my RIR and wyandottes hatched in Feb. Are they a smaller breed in general?

Mine are also quite a bit smaller than the orpington chickens that were hatched at the same time.

I wish you lived near me.  I live in Georgia and actually contacted Jordan Farms a few days ago.  Trying to talk my husband into getting a breeding Legbar trio.  If I do get to, it probably won't be until later this fall.  Good luck with your guy.  He looks great.

Mother to 4 wonderful children, grandmother to 4.  1 DH (39 years), 1 pug, 1 Basenji, 1 dashshund mix (notice I put my DH in that same group! hahaha)  6 EE's, 1 Buff Orphington, 1 RIR, 1 Silkie, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Brown Leghorn, 1 Polish, 1 Welsummer.  Hope to fill my basket with different colored eggs!

I put out the $99 for the professional version for a year because it made me sick to see someone accepting compliments for how "gorgeous" my Isbars were. I didn't want her maiking money off my birds!

Thanks for that, seems like a great idea.  I know I am getting a website up and running and was wondering about something like that!

I think my second girl laid her first real egg yesterday. They're not this blue - this is an iphone picture

First is my NH red egg, then my legbar hen then my juvie pullet's egg then the one I found a while back in the nesting box that I thought she (juvie pullet) had laid before - it's a bit tilted in the photo so it looks rounder and less oval.

The eggs are all the same shape and rounder at the bottom than my Amerauacauna's egg.

Very pretty!

Odd question: does anyone use Pantone color numbers as a standard for their eggs?
