For those interested Greenfire Farms appear to use rarebreedauctions.com for their juvenile pairs. I'm all for different methods of commerce, but it seems like 30 days is reasonable for a presale and 150 days (ie having chicks to grow tp reproductive adults without a hitch seems more sketchy and possible a misrepresentation to the buyer). If you think what the 20-22 week pre-sale seller is doing is outside ebay terms, are folks reporting it to ebay?

I have been meaning to take new pictures of them but always get side tracked. Frederick's comb is starting to flop to his left side today and I noticed he is getting his saddle feathers in today. They have grown alot since I got them and are closer together as far as size goes.

eBay policy regarding pre-sales:
If you want to sell presale items, be sure to meet all of the following criteria:
-
Guarantee that the item will be available for shipping within 30 days from the purchase date. Be sure to clearly state this information in your listing.
I think we can probably expect to see pre-sales for Isbar eggs now too since this seller has been bidding on my Isbar auctions.
This seller actually already has an Isbars pullet that is laying. He had an auction two months ago for 6+ Isbar eggs (See link below). It was the first Isbar auction I saw on Ebay. There was no reserve and the minimum bid was $0.99 + $16.00 Shipping. The Bid ended without any takers. I think he is just trying to get bulk up the Isbar flock.
I am Pajaro26 on eaby for anyone that cares. I bought my first Ebay eggs yesterday. They were Black Copper Marans, and I drove 5 hours round trip to pick them up this morning. I am not an Ebayer, but have been keeping tabs on several sites for Legbar prices since Novemeber. :-)

I got one of each too. The pair us just 2 1/2 weeks old, but I can see a glint of copper on the sholders of Nina. I guess my wife was wrong about her prediction that they were both pullets. Now I am going to have a Black Copper Marans roster named Millie and one named Nina. Thank goodness I can tell the Legbars appart at birth. None of those roos are going to get girly names. ![]()

There were no takers because the seller ended the auction early. This is the same seller that was caught in early February listing auctions for Rhodebar hatching eggs for immediate shipment. GFF confirmed that none of the Rhodebars they had sold could possibly be old enough to be laying by early February. And now you think that just because they listed the auction that they actually had laying Blue Isbars? I don't believe it. I could be wrong but I just don't believe they have laying hens. Look at the similarities between these two auctions. Remember, this seller immediately closed the Rhodebar action when confronted with the fact that he did not have laying Rhodebar hens.

As I stated before, this seller REFUSED to provide pictures of his laying Rhodebar hens. I dare anyone to get proof that he has either laying Legbars or laying Blue Isbars.
I didn't make the connection before, that this is the same seller who previously tried to sell eggs they didn't have, and who now is selling eggs with a 20+ week wait. Sure hatcheries might have a wait, but I put more trust in a legitimate business than I do with an individual seller on eBay. Just my 2 cents (and then some, cause this seller is just really irking me big time).

Here is a fun picture of Cheyanna, my niece wearing our chicks! On her right shoulder is Lemon Chalet, Big Bird and Norbert on her L shoulder. Left to right on her arms are Arnold, Thursday, Briony, Midnight and Pitta. They are about 6 weeks old. The girls all have the start of crests. Arnold is twice the size of Norbert and Briony and has a huge floppy comb. Chalet and Big Bird are the Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons. Briony has odd feathers on her Left wing, they stick straight up. It will be interesting to see what happens as she grow. They are all so friendly and are growing like weeds. I am going to have to move them to the coop soon. They are getting crowded in their cage.
