hit.gif I feel so clueless about this. I think it's more than the legs not straightening. The feet aren't working either. It's trying to be active...when I put it down, the legs pull up and it scoots around on its butt. Is this something that can be fixed, or will I have to kill it?

Cut that temperature in half and that is about what it is here - brrrrr. I just locked the chickens up for the night. (No wheezing but she is still scratching at her neck. I inspected and could see nothing wrong).

My dogs LOVE the fresh, powdery snow. The sun peeked out from behind a cloud just before it dropped behind the mountains, and for just a brief moment, everything sparkled - glad I was out to catch it because it likely lasted less than a second. Then my dogs tore past me, playing games and having a grand time in the fresh powder with no worries about being scolded for chasing after chickens. Old Willow was temporarily a young pup, and she tore across the yard full-sped again then suddenly stopped and hobbled over to a dry spot under the eaves from where she watched Shasta tear up the snow like an maniac.

Q. Why did the chicken cross the road.
A. To show the opossum and armadillo it could be done.

Anybody see the article about 50,000 Abandoned chickens found in Modesto, Calif. the hens had not been fed in two weeks, they could only save 2,000. the owner of the egg farm said they wer going out of the egg business and had over looked these chickens. the farm produced 12 to 15 million eggs a year.

Too many chickens, too little time!
