Well I am finally caught up.

I really need to go mop the back of the house. The nasty little puppies have been doing what nasty little puppies do. sickbyc.gif It has gotten bad enough that I refuse to walk around without shoes. So I guess I should buckle down and get to it.

One of the little boys. has started to beg to go outside. He is standing at the sliding glass door and whines. This is the second trip outside. They didn't like that it colder than it looks. The pup that is trying to get back up the step is Miss Bubbles. She a lot smaller than her brothers. At nearly 8 weeks she only weighs a pound and half. Her brother Tank is just over 3 lbs. They are getting cuter everyday. They now come running when I tell them that "there is meat to eat".

The Great Dane Puppy has been very very hard on my back yard. Come to think of it she has been hard on the house too. I don't understand why people think short haired dogs shed less. I know without a doubt, that the Great Danes are much worse, than a couple of Komondork in the house. I think I have found my next dog. I am going to Lynnwood tomorrow and do what ever I need to, to get Oso home with me. Here are pictures of him. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22296758

So has anyone recently adopted from the Paws shelter? I am going to take proof of our mortgage, but what else might they want? I just don't want to have to drive to Lynnwood more than once. At least I can drop off my daughter's dogs to her on the same trip.

It can be so hard to be at Grammy's house. Grammy did learned about the power of a spray bottle. lau.gif Now it's just plain boring around here.

Oso is a cutie.  Good luck with the potential adoption.  I hope he's a good fit.  Will they let you take him as a foster first to see if you can train him to be good with the chickens?  He's an unusual mix, but a pretty blue color!

If you were to have a goodly sized dog, it could pull your innertube back to the top of the hill for the next downward plunge! We know how you love to go sledding on your tube! lau.gif

I will check. The worst case is I would have to return him to their shelter. I was willing to do that with the Tibetan Mastiff that is in LA, so Lynnwood would be a lot less hassle. lol My gut feeling is that he won't be a problem. The Newfoundland part of him should mellow out the Aussie Shepard part. He isn't a dominate dog so that is another couple of points in his favor. I have been playing top dog for a lot of years, so the pups are spoiled rotten but can't get away with very much. DH is worried about his coat. It looks like he will do a heavy shed each spring. I can live with that. I have a cat that has the same kind of coat. So I have learned how to tackle and insist that they get rid of the old fur.

We had a purebred Newfoundland when the kids were little. Babes and our Mastiff X would play with the rabbit without any aggression at all. Unfortunately the rabbit didn't understand the size issue. Both the dogs were very sad that their bunny got scuffed. Babes died while we were in Conconully one spring. She started to feel bad on the trip over, and by the time we got her to the vet in Omak, it was over with. I still don't know for sure what went wrong, but she was elderly when I got her year or so earlier. Just may have her time. She was a huge former show girl.
