OK but FYI I did hear 1"-3" but think most was up north. See ya about 11 I think Ron is gonna be here about 8.(last I heard) but nobody tells me anything.

He if a rooster is mean will he pass it on. My Am B has shown aggression to Diane. So if I take him out on the road to kill him that would make him legit "ROAD KILL" to take to Ron's right!

Because some commercial breeds can not reproduce, including turkeys......that is WHY you should have Heritage breeds.

But some breeds like class A serama's have issues as well... that is why you only get 3 fertile eggs out of a doz... the little boy misses the mark.

Hey, everybody! I wasn't ignoring this message, I only just caught up and read it tonight! I shouldn't even try to catch up, but I keep learning interesting things that make going back worth my while. The whole ivermectin-overdose-that-can-make-dogs-blind? Never heard of it, although I knew collie-type breeds often can't tolerate ivermectin heartworm control. But a dog can overdose from eating the manure of a treated horse? Well, no horses here, but someday I dream of having donkeys and goats. And my dogs are big fans of chicken and goose poop... roll.png So, something to keep in mind.

In my little corner of the world we haven't had too much horrible in the way of winter, but to the west and north they've had some impressive snowfall. We had some very high winds here but no damage on our property. (Well, I'm sure there are new limbs down out in the swamp, but what happens in the swamp, stays in the swamp... wink.png) It turned out where I put my chicken coop was a great spot (sheltered by the workshop/barn and some big trees) so even in the worst wind there's not much breeze/draft inside the coop, even though I leave my ventilation open. This was not due to my amazing wisdom and foresight--it just turned out that the most convenient spot for the coop was the best sheltered.

Anyway, keep on chatting away, my Washigton peeps! I just like to watch you go!

Well I plan to set some eggs if the timing all works out see my silkie went into lock down today. And pending how tuf thinks he is. If he gets too bad it will be game over. I can deal with him but when he is attacking DW that is the end.
