Since it was so nice out yesterday I decided I needed to take a few pics. The first one is on the left my blue Am B pullet from Cloverleaf. She is right at 5 months.

And My RIR B the camera just doesn't do this rooster any favors. He has much more or the irredescent green going on than what it looks like here.

Whew!

KOMO is backing off the snow prediction. Now saying just in the convergence zone and mountains.

KING, not yet.

As of now it sounds like there is a pretty good chance we may make it to Monroe. Here are a couple new creations I will have with.  Make note of the second one. Nobody looks out for the Grandpa's who cook so I decided (as I normally do) to do something quite different.

Since it sounds like we will be able to go to Monroe. I am willing to save some Am B eggs and RIR B eggs. I think flyrobin wants some for a "craft" project and starting the 10th I can save as hatching eggs.I will probably only be able to save a dozen RIR (for hatching) so maybe they could be shared.

Also IF anybody has their eye on any of my works that they would like. I can bring it with me to Monroe. Like the dragon for cmsdvm ( lau.gif) and bell for jbear. If there is enough interest and wants, I could bring the trailer up. It is already loaded since it is also my storage area for the finished work.

So I got a juror postcard in the mail from District Court. I tried to get out of it but so far, I'm still on the list for March 14th....not sure how to get out of it if I'm going to be out of town on the 16th for the show. I also have a dentist appointment on the 19th and my parents, both sisters and both sister's boyfriends are coming up on the 27th.

I said I knew most of the prosecutors and attorneys and we're pretty close to the judge (family friends), that I had a 6 month old baby and that I was going to be out of town but that didn't work.  Oh and that I work at the courthouse complex so I know a lot of people.

I have to call them again when they open at 9am and see what I can do. If it was next month, I'd do it--but this month is not looking good.

I would like to get some ideas of how to redo it for either brooding ect.  This is MY project, I told my husband he doesn't need to help, he is already worried that what I have planned will include him!!  I told him I DO NOT want his help!!  He can finish the tasks he has set for himself, and not worry about mine.  I just thought if I post them, then, you guys can PM me with ideas ect.

Oh and hatch day is tomorrow!!!   jumpy.gif  wee.gif

eggsiting stuff!!!

ok well gotta get!

Oh BTW I found some very interesting hatching information on the Brinsea site!

It was about egg cooling during incubation! it is very interesting, and makes me not so worried about when my bator kept cooling down!!

heres the link

http://www.epsaegypt.com/pdf/2011_june/15-%201271.pdf

Hmm ok, not sure if that will come across as a link to click, if not you can go to Brinsea.com click on incubation topics and it's under egg cooling during incubation.

oh ok good looks like it did!!!!

Dang I think I may have heard somebody say something to that effect. It's only natural that the temps would drop when the hen gets off nest to eat and etc.

Yea but this cooling is for like 6 hours! They also used a solution of Vit C to dip some of the eggs in!  it's really a good article, it's actually a study, so it's written by the DVMs that did it.
