The Mini Jersey are quite pricey so maybe assuming the semen may not be available thru AI and only fresh since the breeders want to keep the prices high and the cow would need to be on the premises. If there is a mini Jersey in everyones backyard it kind of drives the prices down. But they can't stop it for long! I'm waiting for the Cream Legbar to be in everyones backyard and then I'm getting me a few.

But the lady on the film said it dies within a few mins? Maybe because shes not freezing it?.. I guess thats where I got confused. But it makes since why some chicken breeders would want to do it that way....

shipping bull semen is easy these days, you can use the vet or the AI guy, they ship the semen and when it arrives they will come to your house and AI your cow for you. horses are the same. I am not sure a rooster will freeze lol, or even chill.
