Hey Sadie Sue - I'm drinking some really nice PEACH wine we made last winter. It's really yummy. Going to start some blood orange tomorrow, and bottle 5 gallons each or orange mead and Persimmons later this week. Then empty the freezer of all those pineapples - they make yummy wine too.

I HAVE GOT TO GET UP TO YOUR SHOP!

Step 1 take out freezer stuff. (motor, etc)

Okay from there I am unsure whhat to do.

And yes nothing ventured nothing gained. I am just afraid and i want it to work.

REMEMBER this is the worst part. The "freezer stuff" IS ALL PRESSURIZED ! ! !  Yes those little tubes will spray nasties in yer face if not careful!

Yes sir, I promise to be careful. DH already told me he would help me do it correctly.

You just have to remember that almost anything is fixable, and that there will always be another old freezer for free. It costs to dump appliances. If I recall right it is at least 25.00 to dump a freezer in King County. So there are many that end up on craigslist that are free. Also people don't have a way to haul things around like they used too. So as CR said one bite at a time, and you can't really break anything. Even if you have to start over with another freezer, just think about how much you have learned from trying to make the first one.

I don't care what a person is doing, or trying to do. But the first time you do anything good or bad, It is educational. It's only stupid if you make the exact same mistake more than three times.                                  I try to make new mistakes each time.  gig.gif

LOL...you are so right.

Remember CR is at his "yard sale". I hope that went well for him.  what is Jerry's?

Rats, I don't see any cheap exacto-ish knives; I've found the old one I bought eons ago at Ikea as part of a picture-hanging kit is the second most useful tool I own, after the small needle-nose visegrips.

Hey, again, I hope everyone's well and making progress. I'm barely coping with chores and the disciplines of diabetes right now, not to mention more eggs than I can handle and the usual spring crazies.

I was beginning to miss your posts. So I am delighted to see your post today. I wish there was away I could help you with the chores. hugs.gif

Glad to know I'm not forgotten!

It's hard to make time to get online when, for instance, I come home from grocery shopping and find my cousin's chickens, or part of them, in the bit of my yard where I normally don't have to watch were I step, to whit:

499

This is the Blue Roo CL traded me for a rose last summer; he's got a dedicated bunch of ladies and my cousin just sold an incubator full of his EE chicks at Coal Creek Auction a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I get the EEs out of the bathroom (argh) I'll be putting the brooder pen together and see if I can put a couple of dozen eggs in his next batch- BLRWs to sell and Hamburgs to grow out for another breeding pen. If it stops raining so I can work outside and so the pain in my hands and hips lets up and I can get more done without having to stop and rest.

I will tell you all that yesterday was not a very good day of selling. Typical Lewis county it was a very hard crowd. And I think most of know that when I go in selling mode I can do pretty good. I have even been known to sell ice cubes to the Eskimo's.

It has been 1 year since YOU people pushed me to go with my metal work. Looking back I think of how my things have changed from nearly all poultry related and either wall hangers or garden stakes. I feel good about what I have done in a year and  plan to continue. See I have NO art schooling, and really no artistic talent heck I can't even draw water out of the tap with out making a mess.

My BYC buddies have been such great support both by encouraging me and by purchasing my items! I owe you all so much. I know there must be better ways to go about it but I don't know those so to all of you I sincerely say THANK YOU! Rob

NO I am NOT leaving I just feel the need to show appreciation for all you have done.
