Just popping in to say hi!!! I've been trying to stay off the computer and keep this body moving more, so sorry if I've missed anything!

Welcome to all the new people!!!! frow.gif

Monique, I'd have that leg looked at pronto! I'd worry about leg clot too!! Please keep us posted! And hope you are feeling better soon! And very glad to read that your friend is back in the hospital. There is some nasty crud going around. My youngest DD Megan has been sick since the weekend. I kind of expected it, being spring break and all. It never fails. SOMEONE gets sick during break every time! She complained of a head ache all day Saturday, then woke up Sunday and threw up, still had the headache and a cough. I though for sure she had the flu when I took her temp at it was 103.8!!! Rushed her into the Dr and they said it could be the flu, but there are a LOT of nasty viruses going around too. By Monday it was mostly a nasty head cold that she's still working thru. Just knocking on wood that nobody else gets it!!!

Julie & Kate, hope your MRI/CT Scan's go well. I'm still waiting to hear back from my Dr. to hear the results on my neck one last week. Shoulder nerve pain is now gone, but I still have the achiness in it. So who knows.....

Those with incubator problems, my Brinsea officially is dead, so I replaced it with the Hovabator 1588. I borrowed RedReiner's last year and it is tons better than the LG, which I also have. But costs a tad more. But much more constant temp and it comes pre programmed to the right temp. And it fits more eggs than my Brinsea did!!! celebrate.gifNeedless to say, I have my LG loaded with a hatch due on Easter, and my 1588 is loaded up too with staggered hatches over the next few weeks. I like to use the LG as a hatcher most of the time.

I'm so sorry Haller... Are you going to be able to keep any of your chickens?

I'm afraid not. A respirator isn't doing enough, and Mr H won't take over coop cleaning. Anybody want a Brabanter rooster? He's a sweetheart.

So sorry!!! That just stinks!!!! hugs.gif

On my way to class (yesterday) I saw someone working on finding some good hiding places for the weekend...

IMAG0297.jpg

See It?

IMAG0296.jpg

It was happy to sit there the whole time.

Well yesterday I found a patch of dry happy green grass that said "sit"

after my last class at 5:30 I sat and watched the sunset and relaxed.

the smell of new grass.... i had forgotten.

60*F

then that moment has ended... the sunny patch had moved.... so i had to move on...

This morning at 5ish i woke up because I was cold. I had left my window open....

I was laughing yesterday when i saw Winter Weather Advisory of 5 inches....

My walk to class this morning...

IMAG0302.jpg

Because this morning I saw it snowing....

Its still snowing.....

I suddenly miss that sunny patch of grass. (No I am not sick)

I'm sorry to hear about this Hallerlake. Take care of yourself. Hope you are OK.

Many years ago I had a neighbor in Ballard that raised cockateils. She had the same issues and after being in ICU 5 times in 1 year had it figured out, by a new doctor. She ended up having to sell her house because she couldn't get rid of all the bird dust.

My friend with the brain tumor has been back in the hosptal since Saturday. Her friends called 911 and had an ambulance take her after she saw her leg. ER doc said she has a huge blood clot. I am glad she is in the hospital,, only wish it was much sooner. Friends like new doc better than old doc. Seems more concerned. I need another update., and very much want to go see her. I am also very worried that I may have given her the flu. I don't know if she has the flu, but I do.

I have been down with the flu since late Saturday - worst one I have had, but for the most part it seems to be clearing now; so awful but quick. It started with muscle aches on Friday and Saturday. Flu did not cross my mind, but stress did. Then had the chills real bad when I went to sleep, could not get warm no matter how many blankets Don piled on me Saturday night. Woke a few hours later. sweating profusely. Still sweating like crazy, but not like Sunday through about 2 pm on Monday. Every time I got up for a bathroom trip, I leave sweat drips from my face, and chest and back... bedding is heavy with sweat and has to be changed frequently. Terrible migraine, but meds help that a bit - make it tolerable. As of last night, I was able to start eating again, and today I am walking around, mostly because I am worried about my leg - never heard of this flu symptom before:

Left leg is hot and red. This is the same leg, in the same area where I had a staph infection a few years ago, only this is nowhere near as painful as that was. The pain in my leg is from pressure when I stand; not burning and itching like with the staph, and the pain subsides somewhat when my leg is elevated Anybody have any clue what it could be from?

I'm with everyone else, have the leg checked out! And I hope it's nothing serious and both you and your friend are feeling better soon!
