But I guess not yet.  I just browsed a few pages since I am 100's behind but sounds like everyone is doing ok. Julie, checked out your website. It's really nice! You did a great job. Someday I will have one too and you can show me how. So far just a facebook page.

Farm is doing good. Got the early crops in and most are up. Harvesting Spinach, Chard, Kale, Purple Sprouting Broccoli and Broccoli Raab for co op this week. All the starts are up and growing in the greenhouse. Most the remaining beds are ready and waiting for planting. I got some new ground turned over and waiting to disc it. I will be almost tripling my growing area. Lawns are starting to grow so starting up the Landscape maintenance. So, busy busy, busy. But gotta make that money, money, money!

Miss you all. I do check my PM's so PM sometime if you want to contact me or chat. Plus my phone (call or text) and email are on my Facebook farm page. Del Tierra Farm soon to be changed to my original farm name Stoney Earth Farm.

Nope no Babe yet. Just one very uncomfortable momma. CL will be notified when I do finally pop, and Im sure she will share the news with you all!

Interesting. Maybe one of these days here soon I should work on building an incubator. I've been looking at the plans on this website but I don't have the money right now to go buy the stuff needed lol. There's always time

Well, we actually set 13 eggs, but the rest were mine. Still waiting for the rest to hatch - had five Icelandics hatch with the Marans, so still waiting for four. They weren't due til today so the others were early birds. Hatching is addictive. Better not get started!

LOL I'm sure it is. I've decided instead of becoming the crazy cat lady I would become the crazy chicken lady. I've already figured out a box I'm going to use to start building one, left when my father passed away a few years ago. Hatching was something I was already planning on doing but eventually I want to get to heritage birds. It sounds bad, but if I can practice with eggs I get from auction, i'll get the hang of it faster.

I also like your big coop. I want to provide a covered run for the girls for those nasty days we get and I really like what you have done. Rats, now you have me re-planning the run! smile.png

ok i know this is not likely but I figured I would try just incase.....

I am in need of some IBC's (large liquid tanks)
450

Does anyone know where I can get some for very low cost to free?
If it is close enough to me I can rent a large truck and pickup up to 15-20 since there is a group in my neighborhood who are looking for some.
The biggest problem I am getting is the former contents need to be "clean" so we can wash and use for rainwater etc.
Would LOVE to find a place that makes food products that has IBC's (by the way IBC stands for intermediate bulk container)

I had a place here in Seattle but they must have made a deal with someone else and are not contacting me to pickup any tanks.
Boogers...

Thanks!

Welcome back from vacation KMHunter!

Would love to see you so, if you like, let me know when you plan to visit the white egg farmer and maybe we can make it a little party.

A general question - really just asking....

Part of our Easter celebration is coloring eggs. I keep wondering if Annie, my white silkie, would like to "get dressed up" for Easter Sunday.

Could I just dip her in the food coloring?

Just asking.....

Happy Easter!
