I can never get as much done as I want too...... darn wet stuff falling on me makes work sooo much slower...

It was great to meet you guys as well Trevor told his brother and sister all about the chickens and he got to see goats lol. My daughter said not fair but she liked the eggs now she is trying to talk daddy into more chickens with different colored eggs. LOL

About his car  I told him see it was sunny all weekend and you just had to go play army and your home one day and you break the car and he just laughed.AND you had to make it rain too... geeze LOL I love teasing him. It wasnt to bad the heater core blew and there was antifreeze all over the inside of his car. We were able to get it replaced pretty easy once we got the dang thing off lol. Heater works great now... smells a little cuz of the antifreeze on the carpet but it will go away once it dries.

Eggs came from Hallerlake =) Now that the hatch is complete; we have seven out of seven! Yay! We documented as much as we could for the classroom. Here is the first video - will post the other two we got when I get them edited.

eta the first egg is a Brabanter & Easter Egger cross.

First question is how many eggs do you want to hatch a year? How many eggs at a time do you want to hatch?  My husband made my cabinet one and I hatch in a LG with fan ( I love it and dont care what the rest of you think tongue.gif, but I am going to make one so I have two hatcher)  Sorry had to do that a lot of people hate LG I dont I started with it and still have it had to buy a new one a few weeks back old one almost started a fire on me..  There are lots of ways to make brooders also, again how many chicks for it how large do you want.. With that we can all help you out Im sure.

Oh, I so remember when I asked this question.  Well after some research I chose a Brinsea...nice but I have had some problems. Well, I now have decided that is not big enough...and husband is in the process of building me a Freezor-bator (incubator made out of an old freezer).  After that I am going to build a "hatching" incubator.  Yes, I got the bug...bad.

We'll also be cleaning out the nest boxes and coop today - should we use a bleach solution?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you!

I studied this just a few weeks ago.  5 drops, directly on the skin, on the back, between the wings.  Don't worry if you end up with a few more drops than 5.  My research lead me to believe that even 15 drops would not be harmful.   Also, Eprinex does not require that you hold back the eggs. (Based upon not needing to withhold milk from dairy cattle treated with Eprinex)
