I agree 100% I know I am very new here, but honestly I would be shocked if all everyone here talked about was chickens. Every forum I have ever been a part of always leads to everyone building long lasting friendships. If you have a passion about something you of course talk about it, that is what brought you here, but as you get to know eachother you share more, and you find that you will get help in more than just one area of your life. I have been welcomed here opened armed and I guarentee I will not be leaving anytime soon! There are some amazing people on here with much to share, be it about chickens or other aspects of life.

I made reference to people coming to places and trying to change them to be like where they came from. Then shortly after someone says something to the effect of can this thread get back to chickens and away from daily and family life.  Well I hate to break the news to ya but from the time I joined this thread and probably before there  has been much of what is going on in our lives etc. It has never (that I know of)  and probably never will be just chickens (poultry). See this is more of a group of friends who hang out on a wonderful chicken web site. Said group of friends also has a HUGE amount of knowledge.

Also if one takes a little time to OBSERVE some of those who have been here awhile. You will see that this is a very caring and helpful group.

OK now I DO NOT intend this next part to be or sound sarcastic simply trying to make a point and perhaps guide some of the newer peeps.

 

If you really want to ONLY talk chickens then you may be happier to find the thread for your preferred breed.

 

See I was just going to let this go and ignore it thinking it was just me but I have been contacted by some of the more senior members. They have expressed concern and displeasure with what seems to have happened to the WA thread lately.

For those who know me they know that I will speak my mind. I will stand up against what I feel is wrong. I will also be one of the first to give credit where deserved. If you have any doubts about me feel free to ask others or better yet make a point to get to know me. 

With that being said I would like say welcome to the new peeps enjoy yer stay and hopefully we can resume what many of us have come to know as a fun place to interact with others.

LOL, as tempting as that offer is, I do believe my husband would kill me. He said no to chickens and I got them anyways. He has promised to eat any bunny I brought home. YIKES!!! I have to let him finish warming up to the chickens being here before I bring another critter home. HA HA!

Sunbug4 - What age chicks are you looking for? I have some I'd let go pretty cheap, they're all 6.5 weeks old. I'm in Covington. Don't remember where you are...LMK if you want to know which I'd get rid of.
