I've actually been looking into getting that system too! Let us know how it goes, I think it's much better than hauling water and cleaning shavings out of water's!! Glad they're doing well!

Just switched mine to nipple waterers yesterday. I left the other water in for the day yesterday and pulled it last night so they would be thirsty this morning. I showed them this morning and after 1 got it they all followed suit. Pretty easy. And I agree that not having to clean poop and gunk out of the waterers all the time will be fantastic. celebrate.gif

I love my nipple waterers! Mine are drilled into a small bucket and my girls love it. So much easier to keep water clean and fresh.

Thanks FRF - We're sure enjoying them.  Although every day also reminds me just how messy chicks in the house are and what a relief it can be to finally get them outside!!!  My biggest challenge in the next week or so will be finding someone to build my coop and run.  I'm thinking I may need a grow out coop and then just for leave silkies I'm keeping in it.  Unfortunately my actor buddy told me it's a little beyond his skill level.  I have the plans for a coop that I think would be perfect for them since it's lower to the ground and has a short ramp.  Then the Seramas could summer in it too.  I'm envisioning a taller covered run around it.  I thought it was pretty cute though!

Hi y'all thought I'd pop in and interduce myself as I'm will be moving to Deer Park to be closer to my boyfriend. My name is Tyler I have been showing poultry for 3 years but I'm taking a break so I can focus on breeding and showing my rabbits. I'm hoping I'll be able to get back into showing poultry soon. I want to breed White Runner ducks, white, grey and butterscotch Call ducks, Modern Game bantams and black Dutch bantams. I currently want work at McDonalds after I move though I will hopefully be working for Great Northern Cages. I
Trying to get started in calf roping so I can start rodeoing
You got a question bout me jus' ask.

OMG!! so I came home from driving Sunbug4's chicks to Yakima and I have a B RIR in the bator!!!!wee.gif

And another pip!! So yea, I'm just gonna leave it go and see what happens! Maybe, it's not a total loss!?

I am having problems with spraddle leg tho! I haven't figured out just where to tape the legs at?? I would like to practice,  tho so I can correct it if I can! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Saturday is "THE BIG DAY" for the CornishX - time to say goodbye to all this lovely sunshine, say their prayers and go bye-bye. They are immense I tell ya. The ones from last week last 3 meals and then a pot of soup, so with the added week, they are going to be monsters. I'm looking forward to a much reduced feed bill! 

 

I wonder if there is a market for chicken feet around here, I hate throwing stuff away (dog eats the heads)!

 

And a few gooses, and some ducks and maybe even a few bunnies. May as well get it all done at once. Hmm, I wonder, what can I do with those huge bunny feet?
