I do not know if there's beef coming up soon, but luau pigs are definitely available now.
Any cut & wrapped prk ?

There may be, we were mostly talking about the grass-fed steers. I know that when they put the luau/barbecue pigs on craigslist they went fast, but there's weaner pigs right now and more sows pigging.

It is quite a story so far.

Phoenix was gifted to Cloverleaf's son, and he turned meaner than heck & after she was attacked a few times she had DH off his head.

Before he was be-headed, she had bred him to a few Partridge pullets & incubated the eggs for me (I begged !)

The 3 chicks that hatched were a partridge cockerel, a crele cockerel & a partridge pullet.

So I got the chicks & that is where I am now...remember, there is NO Crele Chanteclers anywhere !

So this is exciting !

I will have the Patridge Chantecler cockerel for sale if anyone is interested.

He will not be used in the breeding program nor the 2 Wellsummer cockerels.

All beautiful birds !

I remember well Cloverleaf's son's Crele bird given to him at one of the shows, Monroe?  He was gorgeous and it was sad that he turned mean.  I also remember the day of his demise.  So glad you got some of his chicks.

That would be one exit below #88 at the Harrison Rd exit for Centraila. You would exit ramp and at bot of ramp turn right, take the 1st road to your right and the strip mall is back in that area. You can see the store/sign from the freeway coming from the N. It is on your right.

Oh, Centerville? Or their boot outlet? Haven't been that way for a while, maybe we'll have time to check when we go down to Newberg for a memorial service.

Aghh!  I am tempted by your Catdance Silkies.  My eyes are much bigger than my yard!

RareFeathersFarm makes her ramps with astro turf stapled to it, she says it not only gives traction but cleans their feet off also.
You can usually buy a strip a foot or two at some bigger hardware stores like Home Depot.
Avoid looped  type...as toes can get catch in it.
You'd just want to get the kind that looks like stiff grass.

The ramp I like best has an asphalt roofing shingle on it. I still have to build a real ladder for the EEs because only Quinta will use the plain board I'm using now. Should have done it today but it will run me out of 2X2s and I'm thinking very seriously about how much it's actually necessary.

I'm having my usual June sleeping problems (it gets dark too late! it gets light too early!) and have gotten to the running into walls stage of sleep deprivation. I did manage to get a load of jeans washed and hung out, feed everything that needed fed, and put the sheep to work on the yard, but it's a good thing there's leftovers for dinner!

Someone should acquire that pretty splash boy of yours for their BBS Silkie flock.   cool.png  He's gorgeous!  Is he pretty noisy?  Does he crow loudly?  Hmm... who do I know that is working on a BBS Silkie flock?  Someone here...  wink.png
