A few weeks ago, after our chicken accident; I jumped on Craigslist to look for a dog kennel/run.  There were several listed.  After about 30 mins, I refreshed the page and one new listing for a 12x6x6 dog kennel, with gate, showed up.  $100! I called the guy ASAP and we picked it up within the hour.  He was totally amazed how fast we got on it.  He had just lost his dog and was getting rid of everything.

I feel soooooo lucky to have scored such a deal.
Yeah, I think that's the secret of chain link on Craigslist. Gotta get on it fast. They are very popular. Not sure that will work well for me, but will try.

Russ

setup a email alert with google alert....
search for all different things such as "chainlink", fence panels, "chain link", fence, fencing, kennels etc
then add the site after the search..... site:seattle.craigslist.org or site:tacoma.craigslist.org etc

so the search would look like this..

fence site:seattle.craigslist.org

Can you tell me the difference between hatching LF breeds and silikies? Why is it easier to leave the bator alone?

I think you may have missed a little twisted humor here. See I use my Silkie hen as my bator for what ever I want to hatch.

Poor DH.  This is why it takes it takes so long to get the fence stained.  He has help.  (Notice the ball strategically placed so it can be easily reached by DH's.  Gryffin is very helpful.)

NO IT'sOK really.. Some times poeple (namely that CR guy) attempts at humor may be a little too twisted for others to understand. To be able to understand You need to see some of the funk he makes from junk

OK I'll post it again since nobody replied to me the first time and I'm pretty sure some of yous have babies!

I'm ISO: 2-3 more birds in the 6-12 week old range (just needs to be off heat and ready for outside).  Looking specifically for a white and/or blue Easter Egger, Marans (for the dark eggs), or try me with what you have. I might consider a Silkie if you guys think one would do well with a bunch of full size birds? Please PM me, I would love to get them soon!

I love that name for them. They really do seem to just love hatching those eggs. That is the only reason DH let me get any. He doesn't care much for them, and he flat refuses to let me have any showgirls.

Quick Question --

I just got a shipment of $65/dozen eggs that was pretty badly beaten up with evidence of leaking out the side.

Do I take it to the PO to open it and prove the mishandling or would they do anything anyway??

Thank you Rainwolf,

I just found some panels for $40 ea on craigslist. I responded, but the ad is from a few days ago. We'll see.
