Hi All;

  Been awhile since I have been on here...but I wanted to let anyone know who is interested, that I have BBS ENGLISH Orps for sale.  I have started chicks, and/or hatching eggs,.  My lines are from Bama Chicken in Alabama.  I got my birds from her last April and they are laying up a storm.  You can PM me or email me at rsngstr101@msn.com    I am down by Vancouver.  But get around a bit due to dog shows almost every weekend.  will do my best to meet up with you if possible.  Here are some pics of my started chicks...

Thank you for clarifying it for me, CL! Somebody told me that fresh eggs (fertilized or not) don't need to be refridgerated right away.....I'm gonna have to set them straight!

My poor girls are so terrified. They spent the last 3 hours in the coop huddling from the noise :( I finally went and turned the light on in there, brought some food and water, and left. Just 10 minutes ago went out and they hadn't touched it at all and were all now roosting for the night so I turned off the light and closed them up. I feel so bad for them! Oh well, it's gonna happen every year, they better get used to it!

Other than being entirely miserable with this bear of a cold I have, today was nice! I did let the girls out for half the day and the second they all showed back up in the coop for a snack at the same time I locked them in for the evening so they wouldn't get flighty from all the noise. The kids lit their sparklers and ran around the cul de sac half crazed, they ate red jello that made a huge mess, DH and the 2 big kids had a cherry pit spitting contest off the deck, and we lit off $100 worth of fire crackers in the street for about an hour and a half, and the paranoid mom across the street even let her kids out of their picket fence to come watch. Great day! I'm glad I live in a place where fireworks are allowed; they are pretty much banned in most places in CA, so I didn't grow up having our own street fun, we would just go watch the huge display somewhere local after dark. I like this better, the kids get to enjoy the best of both worlds here!
