Washingtonians - Page 7784

I'm heading to bed.  I'm exhausted and I have a crazy week ahead of me.  I'll be a station leader for Cub Scout camp - 310 boys are enrolled!  And, as a station leader, I'll be working with all 310 of them.  I am there from 8:00 a.m. to after 4:00 p.m. each day.

Let me tell you - I was SO HAPPY to find out that I was working the woodworking station.  I'll be honest, it is mostly dads who work the camp, and I was absolutely afraid they were going to stick me with something I absolutely hate... cooking!  I get to work woodworking for 3 of the 4 days!  wee.gifI have to work cooking on Friday.  th.gif

I guess the camp leaders called our Cubmaster and asked about me to see if I could handle the woodworking section.  They wanted people who knew what they were doing in that station.  Thankfully he gave me a good review and said I could definitely handle it.  yesss.gif

I may not be on here much this week.  Everyone - have a good one!

Finally found a picture of my Cub Scout Derby car from this year.  It took 3rd place in the adult and sibs race.  Absolutely 100% made by a GIRL!

One of the woodworking projects the boys will be making this week is a Jeep that will be similar to an official Derby car.  They will race them on Friday down an official Derby track.

Coop Fall 2011.JPG

I have great fabric for anyone wanting to make curtains.

I am a city girl and I see nothing wrong with having a pretty coop for my pets.

Mine is all junk wood with a lot of makeup - I mean paint.

The vinyl floor and quality paint make it super easy to keep clean.

I do get teased about it - a lot - but the design is actually very practical.

Here's a photo for the newbies that don't know me.

And I'll add a snow photo to cool us off.....
