So... what time is the Freezer Camp on Sunday.  If it is afternoon, I'd like to go to watch.  I need to see if this is something I really could do.  Even if I did find a place to raise meat birds, I just read in a  book that meat bird boys will constantly have a crow-off contest.  That, in itself, will probably limit the possibility of finding some place to raise them.

Shyla.... I understand, Trish has to get rid of her Silkie.  Don't be offended but I probably won't be able to watch that one.  I'll just turn my head.  I've seen Trish's Silkies and they are cute!

More on catching Rats !   Oregon blues. your idea of a plastic size shoe box is a great idea    Ten years ago I used rat bait (D-Con) the Rats ate it all including half of  the box. Then one climb up my drain pipe under the house and died under our shower. What a job that was to fix . So I was afraid to use the stuff again But then I solved the problem by using that foam that comes in a can. plus I now put those glue traps all around my pipes under the house. NO trouble since.

If you use the old fashion traps, here's the trick  Do NOT  put the peanut butter on Top of the trigger put it on the Bottom of the trigger between the trigger and the wood trap. That way the rat has to put his nose in between the trigger and the trap and push up. this will set off the trap. A rat or mouse can eat the peanut butter off the top of the trigger without setting it off!  I wasn't catching anything with the food on top of the trigger. they would get it without setting off the trap. then I put it under the trigger and caught two in three days

Hey I forgot to tell you this:

My brother is a manager at WM, has been for many years and has seen several strikes.

The drivers are getting 98K a year, full benefits package with dental, vision, and retirement plans.

This is not good enough for the union and so the strikers are still striking.

This figure works out to almost 8K a month !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scab drivers that are coming in by the plane & busload are WM sub drivers from all over the country, not just nobodies off the streets as the union is making the public believe, these scabs are WM drivers, experienced in all phases of pick up & driving.

At a time when alot of folks have NO JOB, these guys are striking...I cannot believe the glutony !!!!!!!!!!

So, the strikers just may loose out.

Too many "starving" people would dearly love a 98K a year job !!!!!!!!!

Shame on the strikers !!!!!!!!!!!   

If I was younger & lived closer, I'd go drive for WM in a heartbeat.
