CR, what about that rest on US 12 westbound? (I've been there, but can't remember the name. Exit 68 from I 5 right?)

Anyplace would do actually.

Spiffy's ?

Yes, that's the place I was thinking of.

Today was a very educational day for me too. I learned not only do I not really like painting. I am rather dangerous at it. See I have been doing some remodeling in our bath room. Well today was painting day. I carefully masked off the new tub surround, new window, new vanity, new floor and toilet. I had painted all the blue walls and was doing the white trim. Well I was up near the ceiling when the brush slipped out of my hand in my attempt to keep it from falling and making a mess ( I shoulda let it fall) the brush bounced off the wall 4 times before hitting the floor spinning like the blades of a helicopter knocking the drop cloth away and spreading white paint all over the floor. he.gif

Thanks, below are the three roosters I'm referring to.

Lisa :)

You can eat any bird, just the amount of meat you get from some isn't much. I ate a very bad silkie cockerel and he made very good soup, but there wasn't enough on him for anything else. I can't remember what age is best to process the cockerels by, sorry.

I also can't help with the processing. I have to meditate to take care of the few we do, though bad birds make it easy.

I'm going to have to stay away from the forum with all the dang spider pictures! Spider nightmares are some of the few actual nightmares I get. I know it was from all the dang black widows and jumping spiders over on the east side. That and I learned it from Mom. All the spiders under Grandma's house and in the well house. Those stupid jumping spiders that will attack you are the worst. Beady eyes staring at you and they lift those hairy front legs up and threaten you, then *bam!* they jump on you.

Last time we were at Mom's, one jumped on me after I walked out the back door. I think everyone in the neighborhood must have thought someone was being murdered with how I screamed.

I remember as a kid taking those black plastic spider rings and putting them like on the door handle to the screen door, so when someone reached to open it they screamed. My brothers and I used to do that to each other all the time. After we did it to my Mom, she took all of them away from us.

I think CR is starting to rub off on me! We just got home from scoring a free dog house, as CR would say, "On the corner of grab it and run!"lau.gifwoot.gifI think it will make a better chicken house for my new breeding pair I get in a couple weeks than the old Toyota in the back pasture. Also MUCH less work for me! woot.gifwoot.gif
