I WANT to say hen but there is something about those pointy looking hackle feathers and floppy tail feathers that say roo to me.
I am not an expert at all. It's over all coloring looks hen-ish to me though. Not enough variation for a roo I guess.. Final answer- hen with boy-ish tendencies

post #59 of 34335/21/11 at 8:05pmI have 4 chicks that originally came from a classroom hatching. Some of them may be EEs. The first one started to grow muffs and a beard between 5 and 6 weeks. She(?) has 4 toes and pale yellow legs. This pic taken at 6 weeks.

#2 was all white feathers and a few black spots like a California White Leghorn. At 4 weeks he(?) started to get reddish feathers on his chest which then spread out to his shoulders. At 5 weeks he started to grow red wattles. He has 4 toes and green legs. This picture is at 6 weeks.
In this picture, taken at 5 weeks, #2 is on the left and #3 is on the right. She(?) is pretty much all black with just the white you see. She has 4 toes and black legs. No muffs or anything so far. At six weeks she looks exactly the same only slightly bigger.
This is #4 at 5 weeks. She(?) looks exactly the same only bigger at 6 weeks. At first, I thought #3 might be a black sex link, in which case the barred one would be a boy. But it doesn't look like a boy to me so far, so maybe it's a barred rock. It has been suggested to me that #2 might be an EE because of the green legs, but I don't see any muffs, and I thought they always had muffs. Any ideas?

Judging by color, both are girls.
