Judging by color, the bird in the first and second pic is a pullet. smile

#2 was all white feathers and a few black spots like a California White Leghorn. At 4 weeks he(?) started to get reddish feathers on his chest which then spread out to his shoulders.  At 5 weeks he started to grow red wattles. He has 4 toes and green legs. This picture is at 6 weeks.

In this picture, taken at 5 weeks, #2 is on the left and #3 is on the right. She(?) is pretty much all black with just the white you see. She has 4 toes and black legs. No muffs or anything so far.  At six weeks she looks exactly the same only slightly bigger.

This is #4 at 5 weeks.  She(?) looks exactly the same only bigger at 6 weeks. At first, I thought #3 might be a black sex link, in which case the barred one would be a boy. But it doesn't look like a boy to me so far, so maybe it's a barred rock.  It has been suggested to me that #2 might be an EE because of the green legs, but I don't see any muffs, and I thought they always had muffs. Any ideas?

What are you seeing that makes you say roo?

By color, I'm saying pullet.  But another thing I've noticed is that roos tend to get "fluff" at the base of their tails.  Stoutfamily's bird is smooth feathered. idunno

It's a bit difficult to see from your photos, but does he/she have three vertical rows of bumps in her comb, or just a single vertical row of bumps (assuming he/she has a peacomb---it seems like a peacomb in the photo, but it is somewhat blurry, so please confirm or else this method of sexing won't work)? If three rows, you have a roo; if one row, you have a pullet. The coloring alone does suggest pullet, and the saddle feathers look round tipped to me. EE pullets often have what look to be "saddle feathers" but they aren't true saddle feathers if they have rounded tips instead of pointy tips.
