I also did the feather sexing and the 2 are different...I think chick #1 is a female...what say you!?

Chick #1, suspected girl, see her wings, you can see little pin feathers, under the rest of her wing. My avatar could be her mother...

No clue here. I've never done feather sexing, so for the way I do it, it's way too early. They're awful cute though!

Looks like a pullet to me. She's got a common female pattern.

These are pictures I took this afternoon of the chick whose Momma is EE and Roo is a Turken. Hatched 4/8/12.  She is 1/2 the size of the other chicks Gracie is fostering that are 4 days older than her.

It's still a bit early to be sure (for me anyway) but if I were to venture a guess I'd say pullet. Don't quote me on that though! ;)

Illa, I wish I had a white boy to show you glossy feathers. Mine both appear to be girls.

_MG_5471.jpg
at 2 1/2 weeks I suspected this one of being a cockerel.

_MG_5853.jpg
@ 4.5 weeks - he was really behind the girls in development.

_MG_6267.jpg
@ 5.5 weeks old he still had some feather growing to do, where the girls were almost all feathered out. His comb started to be more noticeable.

_MG_7020.jpg
@ 8 weeks old - you can really see the red in the shoulders/back

Don't know if you could use something like this to show the common pullet pattern tongue.png

Is this an EE? He(?) has got the dark red on the wings. I hope it's not a bantam.

Will this one likely keep the white on his chest?

Do these both look to be pullets?  Both over a month of age.

First one yes for sure. Second one - Not really familiar with the colouring, so I'll let someone else guess on it.

JoeG.... All of yours are looking like pullets. 10 weeks is a pretty good age to be able to tell -- males will have definite dark red/mahogany capes on their shoulders and most will have bigger, more developed combs. I'm not seeing any "warnings" of a male on any of yours. :)

RedBarnFarms... I'm with aoxa. The first looks like a pullet -- classic pullet pattern. The second, I'm not familiar with the color either. We'll leave that one to Illia. ;)
