Hey everybody, do any of y'all know where I can get some decent Q cream legbar chickens/hatching eggs? I know Greenfire Farm(s?) has some, but they're uh, out of my price range.

Any input would be great, thanks y'all!!

They were the first and only ones who have imported them into the USA. The price is high because the costs of importing them and purchasing them. I would much rather buy from Paul at Greenfire Farms because you know your getting good stock.

Getting back into breeding poultry. Looking for SQ stock of Lakenvelder Bantams and LF, Delaware Bantams, Pyncheon Bantams, Catalana Bantams and LF, and Crevecoeurs Bantams and LF. Please contact me if you know of any breeders or may have stock for sale!

Yeah, I figured as much---though I was curious as to if anybody else had already gotten birds from his stock, lol.

If you find out please let me know as well! I'm lusting after this breed already!

My favorite chicken breeds are Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas,  Black Copper Marans and Norwegian Jaerhons,  I love raising chickens and talking about them. I'm working on breeding projects to better improve my favorite breeds!  I admit... I'm addicted to hatching!

Just in case anyone is still interested.  I e-mailed Greenfire farms today and asked for hatching eggs.  They won't have any available untill the end of 2012.  So much for that idea.  th

If Greenfire has the only stock in the U.S. won't there be a HUGE issue with inbreeding pretty soon without any genetic diversity in cream legbar flocks here in the states that come from those birds?

My backyard flock: 9 Araucana girls, 2 Araucana boys, 1 Olive Egger!
