Help there making me get rid of my flock

Well ive have chickens and ducks at my house for 2 years now. All the neibors love them, and I give eggs to them also.

I got a letter in the mail today stating that My zoneing area is Residential B and that I have 30 days to remove the livestock.....

I have 17 hens and 3 ducks, i raised all of them from chicks and I dont want to lose them all!!!!

What can I do? Im in tioga county NY.



Im fighting this, I dont want to lose my birds....

From what I read it does not specifically address the owning of pets or livestock in the zoning information.

ARTICLE V
Residential B (RB) District
[Amended 9-1-70]
§ 125-12. Permitted uses.
A. In Residential B (RB) Districts the following uses are permitted:
(1) One-family dwelling.
(2) Professional residence-office.
(3) School.
(4) Religious institution.
(5) Community center.
(6) Public outdoor recreation.
(7) Enclosed accessory building use.
B. The following uses are permitted after issuance of a special permit by the Board of
Appeals
(1) Home occupation.
(2) Hospital.
(3) Public utility substation.
(4) Grade improvement.
(5) Development in flood area.
(6) Development on undersized lots. [Added 11-19-85 by L.L. No. 10-1985]
(7) Radio, television, public utility and similar towers. [Added 1-21-86 by L.L. No. 1-
1986]
§ 125-13. Area and bulk regulations. [Amended 7-3-73]
The following provisions regulate uses in Residential B (RB) Districts:
A. Residential uses.
1) Area.
(a) Minimum: nine thousand (9,000) square feet. (See § 125-47B.)
(b) Maximum coverage: thirty percent (30%).
(2) Minimum distances.
(a) Width at building line: sixty (60) feet.
(b) Depth: one hundred twenty (120) feet.
(c) Front yard: thirty (30) feet. [Amended 10-19-82; 2-15-83]
(d) Rear yard: thirty (30) feet.
(e) Side yard: six (6) feet [total fifteen (15) feet].
(f) Building height (maximum): thirty-five (35) feet or three (3) stories,
whichever is less.
(3) Accessory building.
(a) Front yard: no accessory building permitted in front of the principal
building.
(b) Distances.
[1] Side yard: six (6) feet.
[2] Rear yard, ten (10) feet.
(c) Maximum height: eighteen (18) feet.
B. Nonresidential uses.
(1) Area.
(a) Minimum: two (2) acres.
(b) Coverage: twenty percent (20%).
(2) Minimum distances.
(a) Width at building line' two hundred (200) feet.
(b) Depth: two hundred forty (240) feet.
(c) Front yard: forty (40) feet.
(d) Rear yard: forty (40) feet.
(e) Side yard: thirty (30) feet each side.
(f) Building height- thirty-five (35) feet or three (3) stories, whichever is less.
(3) Accessory building.
(a) Front yard: no accessory building permitted in front of the principal
building.

[1] Side yard: six (6) feet.
[2] Rear yard: ten (10) feet.
(c) Maximum height: eighteen (18) feet.
