my idea of slippers for myself turned into barbie -sized skirts and tanktops.

this cracks me up!!! Bet your kids love this learning crochet phase you are going through!!!!   doggie duds will be next!!! I made one for my dacshund when I was learning and it was hilarious, she was so embarrassed!!! When she finally went in the den and my husband saw her, he laughed so hard about her "tarzan" outfit that she went under the bed to hide!!! I had to get under the bed, get her and get that ugly thing off before she would socialize with us again, poor little traumatized thing!!!  Haven't made her anymore clothes either!!!!

Been COLD here, didn't get any snow...thank goodness.
I came up with a head cold, I think I got it from my mom. I called her on the phone the other night (she lives in South Dakota), a hour or so later I was coughing & had a scratchy throat. So I called her the next night & told her, she gave me her cold!

I am retraining my hand to type with my middle finger. I can't however retrain my hand to make that work for hooking. I had a hard enough time learning how to hook.

I am a wee bit exhausted after my little getaway to an indoor water park for my sister's birthday and then doing a blitz run for chicken feed. Got mine scratch for the first time, too, so I will be sure not to fall over in the run, Em... my chickens already mall me enough without me having to cover myself in scratch.

I will be off now. My cats are being all "you were gone all weekend" (duh, cats, it's only saturday!) and I need to get to bed early. (ok so it isn't even 5 PM yet....but I am tired) I am going to try and get that bling squirrel to be my avatar first. (btw, my login name means squirrel (risu) in Japanese...so essentially it's squirrel rocket... long story...and no squirrels were harmed in the making of my handle... ) (aww, it doesn't sparkle in my avatar...I think because I had to resize it. Oh well.)

I am slower than beans so I had to think of what I was going to do and get it done. Plus I have that baby afghan to get finished by April & I am sssloooooww! Did you see that site I posted a while back on the fastest crocheter in gueiness?? I am trying to get that fast....

lol I am the curly turd maker.. so if it's fastest curly turder..that be me! Well gals,,, my prayer shawl needs more then me praying over it.. think I dropped a stitch, which led to another and another dropped stitch, so now it's pear shaped. Ugh, Think if I'm mean enough, I might make it for Ms. Naomi, not like she'd see the off shape. I know, its mean of me, even to think that way, but goshkers, it looks sooooooooooo pretty, and even, and awesome, except for the misshapen-ness. Wondering..is there a way to do the opposite side the opposite way? Like if I keep it going then start adding a stich per row, it could look saddlebags? Can that work, or would it be more work then what I think it would be?

Good luck Skand! I decided to switch directions on a scarf I started and now I don't know how to get back to the other direction I need to be in. I might have to try to make something else out of it or even start all the way over.

And if you think you all are slow, then I am joining that club, because I am WAY slow even when I have all my fingers working.

I broke my thumb nail (right hand) last week, and of course, karma kicked me in the rear, I'm right handed, and it broke off way too short, ughhh. At least with a finger, you can splint it, and most times its a pain that stays, so you dont forget it hurts. My thumb nail on the other hand,,, only hurts when I happen to forget about it. Thank goodness it's grownin in now, and it only hurts when I do something stupid... like use it. lol
Ever notice, it's almost always the middle finger that gets hurt? And when show it to someone, you realize you just flipped them off afterwards?
lol Hope you accident prone people don't bleed on your SS stuff!!!
