If the tender hearted ruled the world then I am glad that the Small Pox & Polio viruses don't have legs or tails or else the human race would be in grave danger.... no, better make that "in danger of the grave."Thank you all for your input on Mice. I was horrified to find a headless mouse in my yard. I live outside the city limits surrounded by woods and field mice are a constant struggle year around for us. We bought the cheap snap traps and on more than one occasion I have found a poor mouse caught by his leg or tail and had to let him go. I realize they are a pest but I am too tender hearted to let any animal no matter how horrible suffer. Bottom line is I think that my hens have left us a headless present and am relieved to hear that they arent acting too abnormal. Also should mention we have a family of chipmunks that I have fed bird seed for two years. Found one in the coop this morning eating chick starter with the babies. I feel like Walt Disney here with all these critters, but I love them all, or most of them....
