Baby wood duck won't eat

Ok please don't judge me for being such a newbie, but on this page everyone seems to just happen to have a few wood ducks. Where are they coming from?!? I've seen on a few posts that they rescued some. But what about the others? Did they buy them (if so PLEASE tell me where) or did they take the eggs/ducklings from a hen? And if they did take it from a hen, how did they do it without making the mother upset from all her hard work being taken away, it seems like the hens would get sad if you took their brood away, or they would just lay MORE eggs. I'm very confused please help.

We understand someone really said that, but it really isn't true. They don't all hatch out of tree holes, and so even in the wild they are not all "dropped" or "jump started" as someone on here claimed... They'll be fine to drop, some drop 30 ft from trees in the wild onto the ground, water, etc. but for sure they don't need it. Tough little suckers!

Hunter, put it with some others and give it some time. It may be in shock still and will require some time to recover. Don't be disturbing it, its a wild animal and most likely won't enjoy the company of a person, especially after being hatched under the hen...

Actually they do enjoy cuddles from on humans ours does it never likes being without cuddle time and it's only a few days sold
