Those are adorable pups! Greeneggsandham on here has redtick beagles she had a litter recently and they are adorable too!
Can anyone tell me what kind of flea/tick treatment is safe for pregnant dogs? We have always used ADAMS spot on stuff. Annie will be due for her treatment again next week, and I am not sure that its okay to use it.
thanks
Melissa

edited cause I forgot she had redticked beagles and not blueticked beagles, sometimes it seems like I forget way to many things!

These are my Beagles.   They are red tick 13 inch pains in the butt LOL

This is Rascal and Sheba the mom and dad to the pups.  Not the best picture since they love to play and not sit still

We sold one male and the female.  We kept Huckleberry

Here he is doing one of his many favorite things going for a ride.  (We were parked when I took the picture)

Thank you.  I can't wait to see your pups.  Your going to have so much fun with them.
I have to take a full body picture of Huckleberry.  His coloring is just awesome. We are so glad we kept him.  He is such a love bug and is so happy when he can play with daddy.  My husband spoils him and he runs upstairs just to see him when I bring them in.  They play for a few minutes and then both are napping on the couch.  LOL

My Annie has been acting different the last few days.  She is very loving, more so then usual, wanting constant petting and loving, she is also a little less tolerant of our other dogs, as well as when we "play" with her. We have always blown in her face, she use to get all excited and run around the house in circles then run back to us and we would do it again, I did it to her today and she yipped at me as if to say " I am not in the mood KNOCK IT OFF!" She has also been whining more, and she sighs a lot.  I look at these things as signs that she is pregnant but I could just be wishful thinking. I am so excited I can't wait for the puppies! At the same time I am so worried something will go wrong, I have already called the vet twice because I was worried about her not eating. (He assured me she is fine, she was not a great eater before and said she may just have an upset tummy, so we are watching her weight and hoping she will give in and eat the dog food as at least we know it has the stuff in it she needs!)  Did any of you supplement your girls during the pregnancy? One book I read said they need di-calcium phosphate but the book was published in 1991 and I am worried it might be wrong, also where do you find that if i do need it, we don't have any at the walmart I work at, and I didn't see any in care-a-lots catalog either.

My girl had days of "morning sickness" were she wouldn't eat anything one day and the next she couldn't get enough.  I gave mine puppy food mixed with her regular food no supplements of any kind.
Sheba loved me, but was shy around my husband.  When she was pregnant all she wanted to do was snuggle with my husband.  Definately not her style.  He ended up being there for the birth and Sheba was happy to have him by her side.

I bought a bag of Purina One last night, a small bag, for $12. Same price as Iams, but she is not eating Iams. They didn't have it in puppy food, I suppose because our walmart is a neighborhood super center instead of the big super centers maybe? (we only have one set of doors, but have the whole grocery area unlike the regular, small walmarts. I also bought her a small container of the gourmet dog food, I can't remember what its called at the second but it has that little white dog on it. She ate that last night, (she is so picky that she will usually leave canned food even!) still its 75 cents a container and it would take like 6 of them to equal one can of dog food.  Its a work in progress, I went with purina one because it said on the dog show I watched that is what the majority of them feed their dogs. The ingredients as listed on the sack are : Beef (natural source of glucosamine, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, poultry by-product meal, whole grain corn, animal fat perserved with mixed tocopherols (form of vitamin E), oat meal, whole grain wheat etc. etc. I just wish she would eat the premium foods, though I recently read that Iams is not all that good either. I went with the beef and rice instead of the chicken formula because lately she has been getting more chicken then anything (every three days she gets a raw chicken hindquarter) her treats are chicken strips fresh breath made by vita life plus, and the Iams we had been feeding her was chicken. Well the sun is out so I am going to go enjoy it till I have to go to work. We will see if she will eat this new dog food.
