fishinchicken Do you have a light out in the coop? My first guess would be that they are not getting enough light and or getting ready to go through a molting process.

I'm setting some olive eggers from hipetall and some of my own duck eggs celebrate

I'm thinking of getting an LG from tractor supply to use for hatching - anyone have any advice on that?  I'm not even done with my first hatch (5 eggs to go!) and I already decided I need another bator and ordered eggs for my next hatch.

I am my addiction.

OMG, chicken math totally has me tied down. If I can't stop the addiction cycle it will force me to move to a farm. DH doesn't want to do that though so still selling off my new hatchlings. I'm living vicariously through the rest of you.

Our family has a boy, a girl, a husband, 1 Rhode Island Red, 3 Buff Orphingtons, 1 white silkie and a bunch of chicks.
Doing what I can with what I have.

I do not have a light in the coup...I am afraid of a fire.  I know that may seen silly but I just worry about things like that.  I thought about getting one of those that uses batteries but figured I would go broke in a short time from replacing them.

Then they are probably going through a molt. Do they look like they are losing feathers?

I will most likely be setting a few of my mutts and a few white crested polish eggs. No idea on numbers, as it depends on their laying... tongue

Chickens love to surprise me, so watch... Out of 20 hens, I will get like 2 eggs a day on the days I collect to hatch. Lol. It's bound to happen...tongue2

I figured I would let them sit overnight and set them tomorrow. How about everyone else?
