I got some day old chicks earlier in the week, they went straight to the barn with a heat lamp and they have been fine. I also have some in my incubator that are about to hatch.
Since this is my first hatch I don't quite know what to do! I know you are supposed to let them dry off in the incubator and not to open it if others are pipping. So I'd like to know how long it's okay for them to stay in the incubator after they hatch, and if once they are hatched and dried can I put them right outside in the barn with the other chicks under the light?? My husband doesn't really want them in the house. The other chicks are only 3 days old at this point so they should be less than a week apart in age.
