Hdowden...what is the best way to tell roo from pullets? Is it just big comb or colors? Love the birds and this is my first!

their combs cockerels will start to turn red around 3-4 weeks of age and will be bigger than whats in your pic

Awesome we are at 5 weeks and it is a tiny pale comb. She is really sweet. She loves to be as high as she can get. Is this common with Mille Fleurs? A lot of bantams I know prefer to lay low or perch low, she wants to be higher than everyone else.

 

How old when the spots appear. they are just gorgeous. Glad my friend "goofed" and gave me this one. She thought she was getting me a bantam cochin... mine is now much prettier!

i want to say it was 1.5-2 months if i remember right...shes about 1-1.5 in this pic theres more in my albums

ok these 2 golden necks are about 2.5 -3 weeks and as you can see there is a good difference in their combs. cockerel on left pullet on right
