Thanks so much for the update Linda. I was worried. Glad to hear you are doing well, minus poor Jack. Sounds like you truly have a houseful what with all of the hous chickens. Holy cow-a house flock! You are one  brave woman!  I agree we need to see pics of your special house jacked :)

Linda!  Glad to see you back!  I had a personal hiatus this past winter, too...all my computer time was spent doing research to buy a new dog (got a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Maddie...Loves to herd the chickens.  Chickens humor her.)  Anyway, when I came back, I was dismayed to see how far down the line your thread was.  Glad to see your update!

Adoptive mom to 3 cats, 1 rabbit, and a 9 year old human boy, and bio mom to a 5 year old girl. 

Mother hen to 1 buff orpington, 1 buckeye, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 barred rock, 1 light brahma, and 2 easter eggers.

Our cardigan welsh corgi, Maddie, loves to herd chickens, children, and cats!

 

You can't scare me!  I teach 6th grade!
