Alright, now for my Swap Story!!
I had a blast and it went very smoothly for me and mom. I sold 8 birds and 2 chicken harnesses total and I only came home with 4 chickens and 1 parakeet, So I actually came home with less than I arrived with!!!!
The chickens i cam home with were 2 Cubalaya pullets, 1 rediculously adorable Buff silkie chick, and the Blue Faverolle/andalusian roo from Peacedove. I also came home with Silkie chicken's Parakeet!
I have named the Faverolle roo Lefty, because of his strange toes. One foot has 5 toes and the other has 4 toes. He is very sweet and since I was right next to Peacedove all day staring at his cute face it was just inevitable that he would come home with me. I love him to pieces already and I think he likes it here. He took the world's longest dirt bath yesterday when I let him out to play. He is so pretty and very sweet!
On the way home we stopped for sodas at a gas station and mom found an ad on CL about a woman looking for 2 bantam hens for her 88 year old father in law's birthday. Since we were going that way anyway I called her and we met at Jerry's. I've been told that the man loved his hens very much. They were my two black cochin pullets.
The favs were recently demoted from the yard to a barnyard coop, where as soon as they learn where to roost, they'll join the even more bloodthirsty barnyard flock, including our turkeys and ducks.
