That's so funny, I'll have to try them with my girls.  But Gross I hate touching those nasty things!  I know, I know after everything I put my hands in and on, I'm worried about stink bugs, right?  LOL

My blog: nativefloridagirl.blog.com  3 Hens in the Sierra Nevada Mountains  1 Barred Rock-Mabel, 2 RIR's Pearl & Mildred live in Coop de Clucks and they have a play pen in addition and now that we've moved to the mountains they live in a new fortress. Chicken math has struck me and we have nine fertile eggs coming 5/20/13 for my broody, Mabel, to hatch.  We also have 1 lab/german shepherd mix...

My chickens love stink bugs, and all shield bugs really (squash bugs.. ). My chameleon loves them as well. I let my chickens roam my vegetable garden and they eat bugs, but leave the veggies along. My squash and zuchinni plants are in much better shape this year than they were last year at this time (when I didn't have any chickens).

My girls are 4 weeks old today and I found one stinkbug to give them.  They were fighting over it so I guess they like them.  Of course, I saw about 6-7 this morning when I was picking tomatoes.  They've only been outside in their "playpen" 3 times, today was the third day.  I'm getting them ready for their coop.  We are only working on it on the weekends, hopefully, we'll get it down this weekend or next!  we also built an additional run, the "playpen" to let them roam around in the grass and specific spot in the flower beds.  I have mostly 4x4, and 4x8 raised beds.   I might test them out on those at some point but right now I have too many tomatoes getting ripe.

The western slope is having a stinkbug invasion this year and my chickies love them. The very 1st one, they all drew back in horror and some brave bird jumped out, nabbed it and the chase was on. The poor bugs are dismembered and eaten in a flash. The only thing I have found that they wont eat is cantelope, they'll eat the seeds, but not the flesh.

Not only do they devour stinkbugs, but any bug that makes it into the pool skimmer is scooped out and thrown into the run and it becomes a feeding frenzy!

Chicken math is true.  We just received another 6 chicks on 4/1/13.  3 Cuckoo Marans and 3 Buff Orpingtons.
