Thanks welash!  Even though Craigs List is showing "pic" next to the listing, the photo's are not showing up in the actual ad and I don't know why.  I've tried a couple of times today to re upload them to no avail.  I wonder if the site itself is having difficulty maybe....

Actually the pictures are now showing up - FINALLY!!!  You can see him here http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/laf/2366160733.html

In
one of the photo's - you can see I'm holding a 12 inch ruler next to him.  If he picks his head all of the way up and stretches his neck, he's maybe 2 inches taller than the ruler.

Wow, he is a small guy!!  That's so great that you're making the effort to reunite him with his crew and are taking such good care of him in the mean time!  I hope you guys work something out soon, and enjoy your roo while he's visiting!

Thanks HalfWay!  We are enjoying his visit....I'm really curious though as to those who keep them as pets - (I read a thread about 'lap roosters').....do you keep them in the house?  We've had 'Roger the Rooster' in a spare room that has tile floors, but the mess is incredible.  We mop several times a day in there, and when we bring him out - I don't let him run around the house for fear of having little presents everywhere!  LoL

Those of you that have them as pets inside - how do you manage?  NOT that I am going to keep him, but as long as he is here, I hate to have him shut up in one room for the majority of the time.  I worry that he gets lonely sad

Welcome!  celebrate

Eh . . . just keep it.  cool

Did you get it chick or turkey starter?

Did you try posting the bird as available on the auction forum here?  (For free, and "pick up only".)  There are so many chicken hoarders and chicken addicts here, you're bound to find one for your chick.

Do you have a picture to post?  Maybe it's not a chick.  Maybe it's a flamingo or an ostrich or an eagle or a canary or a dodo bird or a . . . you should let us decide.  lol

LoL Kla - I'm pretty sure it's a rooster and not a flamingo!  You can see a couple of pic's here at the Craigs List lost and found ad I posted  http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/laf/2366160733.html

And
I did not make a post on the auction forum here - I'll give that a try.  I only found this site this afternoon while googling for resources smile  I will look at the auction forum - thanks!

Am I seeing white earlobes on Roger? If we could figure out what breed he is it might be easier to find someone interested in him. Can you get a better pic that shows his legs, body shape, etc.?

Nawp!  Thet ain't no chicken.  Thet thar's a wild muscovy duck! Mmm hmm fo shur.  Turn it over to the feds.  Mention the migratory bird act and tell them "thanks" from a poster on BYC.  If they give you any guff, tell them to post here and I'll explain it.

Just teasin'.

Well, if you fatten him up, he might make good chicken and dumplin's.  big_smile
