Haha. :)

Aside from my new found chicken hobby, I travel a lot for work.  I am a horse show photographer, and am on the road about every other week Feb-Nov.  I am finding it rather fun to take the camera out into the yard and snap some pictures of the chickens too, of course!

Look forward to being a part of the OKIE thread!

Welcome to the Oklahoma thread and Oklahoma in general! Your story sounds familiar ;) I moved to Oklahoma from southern wi two years ago and I plan and manage horse shows! It's great to see that I'm not the only crazy horse person here :)

Morning, KassaundraSoonermjgigax, and Guest

My recent hatch is active and noisy.  I know they aren't cold because they're all over the brooder.  They make a lot of noise when they jump off the feeder and land on a pile of brothers and sisters.

We've got a creepy fog outside today.  I can almost see the pond, so there's enough light to feed and water the animals without carrying a flashlight.  Slow start today... but at least I'm over the worst of the Curse of the Dreaded Tamale.

Good morning all :) I'm off to the race track this morning. Brrrrrrr it's gonna be cold!

Mj I love your profile pic. I hatched out one lonely little mfc in a sea of silkies and I'm way excited for the little one to feather out and maybe be as pretty as yours

Oh I love seeing pictures of all the new little fuzzies!!!!  I guess I need to take pictures of mine.

Is anyone doing anything special to prepare for the potential storm this weekend?  We haven't had any really cold weather this year so not sure if I need to do anything special for my babies or not.  I will probably make sure heat lamps are out there just in case it gets WAY cold and give everyone extra hay in their little houses.  Hopefully it will just be rain and no ice or snow.

Well back to getting work done, hope everyone has a great Thursday.  Last work day of the week for me, yippie!!!  Tomorrow will be a busy day of trying to help dh finish up some more coops.  Seems we are in the buy the chickens then build new coops cycle, lol.
