Any breeder recommendations?

You need to talk to June, OKjunebug, she has some very nice seramas and amy have some available.

I must have missed this post of yours, Samantha. June's got awesome Seramas, I think most are all Silkied. I'd post another picture of my little boy from her that's in my avatar but I think everyone's probably tired of hearing about him and seeing him in multiple poses lol.png

He's adorable haha! He's not looking pleased with his new 'do though. I've never once gotten a bird from an auction or swap meet that didn't have lice, literally. Thankfully they're super easy to get rid of. I just keep everyone Frontlined now and put it out of my mind because the Frontline works so well.

Everyone have a good day and weekend looks like it should be a nice one.

Because you are cut from pioneer cloth and that makes you willing to help everyone you can.

Thanks again for helping me last week by the way. It took  a load off of my mind to get that thing moved.

Sometime though you might try and say no or at least not today.

PoCo I like the barbanters, they look like golden polish chiks! I've got an order in to sandhill, can't wait. Did they acknowledge your order when you sent it in? I have heard nothing from them. I wasn't for sure the date I requested was a hatch date or not and figured they would notify me,but so far have heard nothing. Maybe I need to call and verify the order.

Well we made it thru the weather transition without any tornadoes! Sure a lot cooler today than the 70s yeaterday!

There does seem to be an abundance of boys in the batch but I think there are a couple of girls. I'm hoping, anyway.

It sounds like you're having the same weather we're having - warm then cool, then somewhere in between.

Nana have you ever cooked the pea tendrils? Was reading a review the other day saying they are amazing. Think that is what I may try, I seem to be awful @ growing peas. Think the heat kills them before I get to harvest them. I am going to plant some this fall-- not sure if I will get any in the ground this spring. Just too many other things that need to be done first (like order stuff to eliminate my grasshoppers as they start to moult).

Robin taptotalk is am app I use on my phone. Not sure if they have anything that will work with your pc

Ran to town to get some essentials earlier. Kids are certain we had no food. But the deep freeze & pantry are plum full. I have had alot of meetings & classes the past couple weeks. Guess when I am not home cooking that equals no food.
We have a flock of turkeys that are always crossing the rd near my place. I top a hill & in my lane are 2 toms with their feathers all spread to display while playing chest bump & all the other turkeys were in the ditch watching. I seriously thought I was going to end up in the ditch on the other side of the rd trying to not hit the turkeys. And the silly wild turkeys never moved! They were still fighting as I looked in the review mirror.

Armywife you should visit a few other markets & you will think Lawton market is pretty good. Think Lawton wants to try to become more like the OSU market-- which is a VERY nice market. Nicest one I have been too. At first I didn't want to deal with the red tape of selling in Lawton, but I do prefer a market that is organized & makes everyone play as fair as possible.

I think someone in the Henryetta city government office is smoking crack or something, they are sounding the tornado alarms, the sky is blue not a storm in sight.

See why I NEED me just one little brabanter pullet? for my one-of-every-cute-chicken flock? those wee little mohawks, I just swoon.

I know I need to quit falling in love with every chicken I see.

Poco I am willing to wait as long as I need to for one of those little darlings.

I will warn you that the first little one that crosses my path is going to get snatched up!

Is it bad that I am hoping for roosters in my straight runs ( which I can't have sad.png) so I can get more babies?

frow.gif Okies,   I just can't stay away...and I'm too impatient to wait for the pages to load.   I was1320 posts behind last time..I just gave up...now I'm 800 something behind again.  I've got to do better!  The weather has been SO NICE, I've been taking a few birds out to sun and enjoy.  I took these pictures yesterday.  While we were waiting for the sun to come up a little higher we shared some crumbs (I had coffee with mine).  I'm working to improve feather quality on my Silkied Serama...here's a 'hairy' one.
